Got Pandemic blues? Try this!

Pandemic got you down? This has definitely been an interesting time to say the least. Here are some things I have been doing to stay encouraged and moving in the right direction.

1. Be easy on yourself!

Unless you are currently besties with someone from 1918, this is uncharted territory. Give yourself time to navigate through the adjustments and confusion the pandemic has had on your life.

Do not judge yourself or others! Know that all circumstances are not equal and each of us needs space and understanding to feel safe with who we are and what we are going through.

2. Pause expectation / Recalibrate your needs.

Live like you are on vacation! Streamline your life down to only what matters. Get to know what is vital in your life. Find the things that keep you alive and the things that make you feel alive – honor, organize, and cherish only those things.

A good way to start this process is to start by cleaning and reorganize a space. Eliminate EVERYTHING that isn’t vital or joyful.

3. Get creative.

Don’t limit your creativity to hobbies, get creative with life and make it magical. Cook fancy foods, decorate for an intimate date with your spouse, make your TV room feel like a movie theater, make popcorn, and don’t be so hard on yourself and have a snack or two.

I used to travel a lot with my family and then all of the sudden, I couldn’t. I thought to myself, “what are the things that I enjoy so much about going away?” I realized it was family time, and not worrying about cooking or cleaning, and having a place to comfortably hangout with my husband and 4 kids. I made it a rule that during this time I would live like I’m on vacation during the weekends. I made a magical family space in our home that truly feels like a getaway – It has revolutionized my life.

4. Get healthy.

Eat right and move that body! It will not only make you feel better, but it will give you the energy and motivation you need to survive your life!

5. Set one achievable goal to attain during this time.

This one shouldn’t be too difficult to come up with. Mine was super easy to choose because it goes with number 4!!! My goal is to get my baby weight off and get back to my body before my 40th birthday this December.

Tell me in the comments what your goals are so we can keep each other on track. 😉

That’s it! You got this!!!
